there has been some tuna action offshore but I think that might be short lived . It is a bit early but after this winter anything is possible.[big tunas in dec, jan and feb.]The inshore has been slow though there are some big schools of Red Drum off the beach. The blue fish and flounder are starting to nibble.meanwhile we will keep fixin boat stuff till the fishing heats up.

Fish we caught on dock partners boat

The last couple of days of fishing have been great with tuesday best day of the year for stripers! I did not have charters either day but fished in a small boat tues. and ran a charter for my dock partner yesterday.

We have been very busy since my last report and that is a sighn of good fishing! we have getting a limit of stripers just about every time we sail. the bluefin tunas are still hanging around, with an 80 inch 300lb fish coming in yesterday.

The bluefins have come inshore with the stripers. We have caught 3 tunas in 3 days. the stripers are starting to bite good again after a few slower days.

This 285 tuna is the class of fish we are catching 2 to 3 miles off the beach.

Today I fished on my doc partner’s boat since he needed a mate. We couldn’t get all our lines in the water due to the magnitude of the fish bite this morning. Whales and bluefin tunas were mixed in; we even hooked a bluefin! Due to the busy nature of the day, no pictures are available.

Today went very well. We went out late; caught some nice stripers about 4 miles from the inlet. It looks like the fish are here and hungry.

Yesterday we went on a long boat ride to the North looking for the stripers. The wind started blowing so we headed back towards Rudee and found them right off the resort strip. Today they moved even closer; right off the inlet! Hopefully tomorrow and the rest of this season they’ll stay close.

Today was much slower than yesterday, but we did manage to catch a dozen fish with the bigger ones coming in with our eels in thier mouth. The guys from Pennisula Honda all got to reel in a fish or 2. Hope to see ‘em back when the bigger fish show off the beach.

Back out today with Joe Hart and that bunch from MD ,fishing was better for us today with a limit of stripers. The fish varied in size with some of the HAMMER/HEADSHAKERS getting around the cbbt pilings and breaking off. The boys had a good time with Joe and his angling skills.
